Chesapeake Competition

After a long weekend of disk shooting and pyramid climbing, MOE finally returns from the Chesapeake Competition in Baltimore. This team did not return empty handed, either. Fighting with a strong alliance composed of teams 375 and 1389, we made it all the way to the finals. We also came back with the Entrepeneurship Award. MOE had a great time and hopes that we will meet again at St. Louis.

Lenape 13 Imagery Award

ArMOEgeddon came out with a bang this past weekend at the Lenape District Event hosted by Seneca High School in New Jersey. We had an amazing time there, and ended up seeded 5th and in a picking position for alliance selection. A huge shoutout to teams 1089, Mercury and , Firebirds. With the help of these two amazing teams, we battled our way to the finals. A fair victory went to teams 316, 2729, and 2495. Overall, we earned 2nd place and an imagery award. Thanks to everyone involved in the competition. MOE had a great time and we all hope to see you again next year! For more information click here.

Meet ArMOEgeddon

Unveil
ArMOEgeddon

MOE 365 is ready to show the world its new robot- ArMOEgeddon! Six weeks ago, our team started with nothing but a challenge from first. Now, six weeks later, in our hands is a brand spanking new robot. Characteristicly and obnoxiously green, our robot can shoot, climb, the whole shabang. This year, MOE will be competing in the first week of district events at Hatboro-Horsham, so we won't be getting a break anytime soon! In the meanwhile, check out more info on our robot here.

All we need in this competition is your views. Support MOE Team 365 by clicking the link here to watch the video. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your neighbor's grandmother.

2013 MOE Jersey
Our jerseys have finally come in, and they look greener and fresher than ever!

MOE's classic green jerseys stand out obnoxiously in any crowd, and we're proud of our bright presence! This year's jersey, drawn by Nina and designed by Matt, features a radioactive symbol surrounded by 14 gears to represent 14 years of MOE. This design guarantees that every team will be watching out for MOE! As an added plus, the jersey dovetails seamlessly with the name of this year's robot, ArMOEgeddon.

Check out jersey designs from years past here.

Build Season
T-12 DAYS

Build Season is officially in full swing, and with a little more than a week left, each team member and mentor is working at full power. Everyone has their hands on some kind of tool or metal! Our team members' dedication and commitment is beyond outstanding. Some teams are here in the lab every day for hours, sacrificing precious time for the sake of this robot. Our mechanical team is divided into even more teams in order to execute each component of the robot smoothly. These sub-teams include chassis, shooter, climber, feeder, and welders. Of course, our electrical team and programming teams are just as important! We can't wait to see our robot come together! Go MOE!

Our Inaugural Newsletter

Thursday, January 31, 2013
January 2013 Newsletter Front Page
Our Public Relations team has been hard at work on an important project: our first newsletter! The Public Relation teams says the idea of sharing what's been going with MOE to people who aren't necessarily part of the team was the fuel behind the newsletter. Team member Lauren also mentions that the newsletter gives sponsors the oppurtunity to take a look at what their support helps to create.

The newsletter gives a brief description of the team and also provides interviews with MOE students and mentors. Janury's edition contains an interview with MOE's Webmaster Katie, so be sure to check it out! There's even a cute little cartoon drawn by Public Relation's very own Nina!

  2013 first Kickoff

   Saturday, January 5th 2012
Ultimate Ascent
The entire MOE team gathered together on Saturday, January 5th for a full day event from 9-3 PM. We watched with baited breath for the game to be revealed and six weeks of madness to begin once more.

Saturday morning was spent on a creativity workshop, led by one of the MOE mentors. He instructed the MOE students on the creative process, which would aid in coming up with ideas for the robot. However, once 10:30 came around, all eyes were focused on the projector that would air the kickoff video. The essence of the game is to shoot frisbees through one of 4 goals and climb a pyramid at the end. More can be read about it here and here.

After a quick lunch break, the brainstorming began. Team members came up with all sorts of ideas, but we're afraid those ideas will be kept to ourselves! All we can say is we're ready for the challenge- shooting frisbees, climbing pyramids, oh my!

Duel on the Delaware

2012 Duel on the Delaware
The Duel on the Delaware has been an annual off-season event hosted by Team 365 MOE and Team 316 LuNaTeCs. This year the high-spirited scrimmage returned to Salem Community College for year 11. Over 30 teams traveled to the college on Saturday, October 13th to participate in last season's game, Rebound Rumble, and in the process squeeze out the last bit of juice left from last season's robots before they are retired.

Congratulations to the teams on the winning alliance:
341, Miss Daisy
1640, Sa-BOT-age
271, the Mechanical Marauders.
We hope to see you again at next year's Duel!

See more Duel info and images here.

  We've Moved!

New Workspace
We're in a new lab this year, and we are adapting to our new home! The move took place over the summer, with everyone on the team pitching in to make it possible.

It was well worth the work because we have more room for robot parts to run free. Besides the build team getting more room to assemble the robot, other subteams including the media and programming also recieved considerable upgrades to their workspaces. Of course, this wouldn't have been possible without the help of DuPont! Thank you!

Click here for more photos of the new workspace.
