Kickoff & Brainstorming!

MOE watching kickoff. January 3, 2009, Kickoff, the day all FIRST students and adults look forward to, occurred this past weekend. MOE gathered together and watched the Kickoff event as a team, going into brainstorming immediately afterwards.

The new game "Lunacy" does seem to be a challenging game, with its simulated low gravity level, and attempting to score moon rocks in opponent's trailers at the same time. Robots really will be hitting each other, will which make this a bit more interesting for human players. 2009 will definitely be an fun-filled year! See you all at the upcoming regionals!

The Personal Recognition Awards!

For the past three years MOE has been awarding those individuals who make FIRST events truly memorable, and yet, never seem to have any kind of recognition. For every regional that MOE attends, we make a few of these special buttons. Then, people who are believed to deserve a button by others at the regional, are presented with one. The person giving the button fills out a simple form and turns it into Pit Admin, so that after the regional, the results are published on our Web site. Check out our 2007 PRA Awards page.

We were very happy when we became the number one seed and went all the way to the finals. We also brought home the Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers Entrepreneurship Award and Johnson & Johnson Sportsmanship Award. The team (especially the web team) was extremely happy when we recieved the regional Website Award.
