first Robotics Championships
Edward Jones Dome, St. Louis, MO
WOOOHOOOOOOO ST. LOUIS!!!!!!!!! MOE had a crazy amount of fun at St. Louis (if you couldn't tell already). We me so many fantastic people from so many fantastic teams, and having such a high concentration of roboteers in one building made everthing more exciting (albiet nerdier). MOE was placed in the Newton Division and had one of the strongest championship showings ever. MOE finished qualification matches with an 8-1 record and seeded 6th overall in Newton. For our alliance we picked team 111, Wildstang, and team 1540, the Flaming Chickens, to make the most colorful team in all of robotics history. Although we didn't make it past quarterfinals in our division, MOE had a great time and altogether successful trip to St. Louis. In the end MOE's hybrid routine was ranked 5th in all of first.
Nationals is always an exciting time for MOE and we would like to thank all of the students, mentors, and volunteers that helped make the event possible. The city of St. Louis was a gracious and well-organized host (not even letting severe hail and a tornado warning thwart the finals matches) and we'll see everyone again next year!
