Springside Chestnut Hill 2015
On March 12-14, Team 365 attended the Springside Chestnut Hill district event, our first competition of the season! There’s nothing like hitting the playing field with other teams for the first time. This year, Recycle Rush has us stacking and moving plastic totes and containers while maneuvering and disposing of pool noodle “litter.” After a day and a half of qualification rounds, we were selected by the Number 3 alliance headed by The Firebirds, Team 433. Rounding out our alliance were the Iron Mikes, Team 5684. While we didn’t make it to the semi-finals, it was a learning experience, and, as always, we had a blast spending the weekend with other teams in the Mid Atlantic District. We finished ranked 11th for the event, and were honored to receive the Gracious Professional Award and a Recognition for Safety. Congratulations to the winning alliance, led by TechFire 225, with Vulcan Robotics 1218, and Eastern Robotics Vikings 204, and to all of the teams who came out! Next stop, Upper Darby on March 27-28.
