Happy Cinco de Mayo Day! FIRST Robotics DUPONT Return to Homepage

2011 Chesapeake Regional

Baltimore Convention Center, Baltimore, MD

The Miracle Workerz attended the Chesapeake Regional, which was held for the second time in Baltimore, MD. There was so much energy, and our robot, PandeMOEnium, performed great! Everyone we encountered was incredibly gracious and we were really impressed with the competition. MOE was 6th seed and competed as the 5th alliance captain, with the Robolions and C Company on our team. Although we were knocked out in the quarterfinals, we were awarded 3 prizes: Gracious Professionalism, Website, and Innovation awards, more than were awarded to any other team at the regional. We are so grateful for them and we had a great time in Baltimore!

Gracious Professionalism

We won Gracious Professionalism because of our ever-helpful Mobile Pit! We also so many other teams demonstrate this quality and always encourage others to do so.

Website

"The Best Website for the Chesapeake Regional was described by evaluators as professional, esay to nagivate, and having a pleasing layout. The site has tons of information and a sense of spirit and identity. Evaluators especially liked the page of proud grandmothers!"

Innovation in Control

"Sensing the competition was going to be fierce, this team outfitted their robot with an inoovative set of sensors. This allowed them to incorporate powerful control systems into the robot, improving its precision and accuracy. Larry, Curly, and Shemp are jealous that his one goes to their buddy!"
